After the ROM patch to my Presario 5282 with 224 RAM, my computer still locks on opening. Have U & Installed with changed directories more than once and deleted all files in old dir. My Presario laptop with AMD-K6(tm) and only 64 RAM has never locked opening UFT 3.1 or 3.0 when I used that.
I am in contact with Compaq technicians and they can only suggest improving system performance. They gave me good instructions on how to reduce opening programs not essential & memory leakage. I will make a final report after time to try this. I am not optimistic about resolving this problem with the 5282. I have not seen another program where I can transfer all my data intact. I may have to use my old laptop forever for UFT. Thanks so much. Wanita
