OT Win XP Pro Wordpad RTF support

Everybody-

FYI: It has been reported on other forums that Win XP Pro Wordpad may not support the opening of RTF files. This may/may not be related to the installation of a Service Pack.

James states that he cannot create Endnotes in Word using Win XP. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a compatability box to check within MSWord that affects this, other than the menu command for endnotes? Or is he not using all the *options* in the MSword Insert menu?

James-
Glad to hear you found some solution that works. Just be aware that the UFT Standalone Editor is rather dated and does not include features found in MSword 97 or later. This can be a help or a hindrance with certain non-English fonts and line draw items.

Others who do not have MSWord should also be aware that the only reason James is able to get the "Best" RTF export from UFT into the standalone UFT Editor is that he also has MSWord installed. (There is a quirk in UFT that Requires a path to a valid copy of winword.exe to exist).

James- Are you sure that your footnotes in MSWord have not been placed at the end of a Section, rather than at the end of the report? There are *several* options available in the Insert-Footnotes menu.

Good luck,
John
