It looks like the problem is within the Ultimate Family Tree Standalone Text Editor application, Fteditor.exe. Many/most users do not use this rudimentary program for RTF output from the Family Journal. They would normally use RTF export with MSWord, Wordperfect or perhaps another full featured Text Editor. Else they would print "direct" to the printer from UFT.

Having said that, it may be possible to use the Fteditor for this purpose if you have the correct (i.e. "old" fonts installed.) Be aware that there are some menu problems involved, which are explained in threads below with my name on them. The UFT Editor might not work with newer Unicode or even DoubleByte Truetype fonts in some instances.

But you have been successfully operating with RTF export to the UFT Editor, please provide a little more info and someone will be able to help. If not, do a little searching on some of the threads below on the subject of exporting to RTF.

Good luck,
John Moran
