The only way I know of to convert UFT files to FTM is via GEDCOM.

The only program that I know of that can read a UFT database and automatically convert it is The Master Genealogist (TMG).

You can find information about TMG at

You can find out the pitfalls of using GEDCOM at - There are two files comparing GEDCOM transfers and TMG's GenBridge process shich are called uft2tmg.xls and uft2tmg.pdf (one is an Excel 2000 file and the other is an Adobe Acrobat file). Both contain the same data.
