Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

All of us former ROOTS users were disappointed when Commsoft sold out to Palladium InterActive; and ... a long line of transitions later... Genealogy.com now owns the rights to UFT and FTM. However, the UFT program has been discontinued and there is now no support and it will not be updated in any way. Most UFT users have migrated over to The Master Genealogist (TMG), which takes the UFT data directly (no gedcom needed)via their GenBridge capability.
