Jessica,

Don't know if this helps.
When you're at the individual screen, rather than click on the Find button, Right Click your mouse where you'll get an editable screen of "quick features"(?) and select "Individuals by Surname".
Once they come up on the screen, use the Page Down key to quickly scroll down to the surname you want and find the individual you are looking for.
This gives you the records number plus some other dates which you can then note & use later.
If you dont have "Individuals by Surname" you can edit the menu and add this in or whatever else you like.
