Compatibility with Windows XP

For those of you who are still having problems with WinXP, you might check your Printers and peripheals to see if they are HP. Looks like they may be a little behind on getting their drivers XP-ready. The following comes from their site.
---------
The printer comes with printing software on a compact disc. The drivers for Microsoft (R) Windows XP operating system are not included on the CD, so they must be downloaded from the Internet or installed using the included drivers from the Windows XP operating system. To install the printing system or drivers onto a Windows XP system, the user must have correct privileges for the machine on which he or she is installing. Also, the Windows XP drivers provided and supported by Hewlett-Packard are installable on Windows XP machines running an Intel processor only. Windows XP machines using a processor other than Intel (for example, Dec Alpha, MIPS, PPC) will need to install a Microsoft XP driver, written for that specific processor.NOTE: Close all applications before beginning the installation(http://www.hp.com/go/laserjet_software)
