Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

TMG will import directly almost all of the data in UFT. There may be a very few exceptions but no where near the amount lost by any GEDCOM transfer. TMG does have many features of UFT and many more of their own features that UFT does not have. They are almost ready to introduce TMG Version 5.0 which will be a 32 bit version and more Windows-like. I am using TMG with XP and have not had any problems myself although some have reported minor problems.

The support is excellent.
