Brian, There are a large number of users of UFT who have not switched to another program after being told that UFT would not be upgraded nor no longer supported. The program does what it was intended to do but has also become outdated, ie. 16 bit, and lots of wished for improvements. Many are waiting for TMG's new version while still adding data to UFT.

For the price you paid for it I would get started and use it. Then you can switch to TMG 5.x when it comes out. TMG contains a method, GenBridge, that will import your UFT data without harming the UFT data. Also this method is the best transfer method. The other being GEDCOM where you may lose data.

The other suggestion would be to download the free software from the LDS, PAF5.x, or Legacy 3.x.
