Anyway, Here's some instructions ...
Go to the following website:
Click on the Patch_26.exe link and download the patch. That file is a self-extracting file which will unzip two files: patch26.exe and readme.txt. The readme.txt file gives the instructions needed to fix the problem with the FOXW2600.ESL file. Basically, the steps after unzipping are:
1. Copy the PATCH26.exe file to the UFT directory. By default, this should be C:\UFT.
2. Open a system Command Prompt window. (The DOS
prompt, which you can get to by clicking on the DOS prompt icon if available or by typing the word "command" in the Run window in Windows.)
3. At the command prompt, type the following. (Note that the following steps assume that UFT is installed in C:\UFT. Make appropriate changes as necessary).
ATTRIB -r FOXW2600.ESL
ATTRIB +r FOXW2600.ESL
4. PATCH26 copies the original (unpatched) file to "Copy of
Once this is complete, UFT should start without errors. You might want to reboot first, just to make sure that all UFT files are closed before attempting to start up.
