If you have version 2.1, you can only upgrade as far as 2.8 - To get version 3.1, you must first have purchased version 3.0 (the only box with a red banner on the front). Since UFT has been discontinued, these are pretty hard to come by. If you'd like to REALLY update, you might consider purchasing TMG (The Master Genealogist) [see web page at www.whollygenes.com], which can directly transfer your UFT data without needing to use GedCom. If you want to update your UFT as far as 2.8, however, you can get the free download from the web site at:
