I believe that 2.8 can be transferred to TMG without any problems. DO NOT USE GEDCOM. TMG has what they call GenBridge and data is transferred dirctly from UFT to TMG with that. That way ALL of your data goes across, unlike it would with Gedcom. With TMG No Gedcom is necessary.
