Dick, I've never used GEDCOM. However, I think I understand that it transfers directly to other programs only BMDB information, and that all other information, such as citations and text have to be transferred manually in a "clean-up" process. An exception is the program, The Master Genealogist (TMG), which I think I understand will accept transfer of most, but not all, data.

Do I understand this correctly? Would appreciate your comments.
