I hereby withdraw the suggestion to upgrade to UFT 3.0 with the 3.1 patch. I have have been offline for several months and did not realize that UFT 3.0 is no longer being marketed by Genealogy.com.
Perhaps a more precise summation would be that users of UFT 2.0-2.7 should download the 2.8 upgrade and the "Fast Computer" program starting utility and archive it them in case they ever upgrade their computers and need it.
Users of UFT 2.9 should keep what they have, as the "Fast Computer" utility is built in, and the version was one of the more reliable.
Users of UFT 3.0 should download the 3.1 patch, because several major bugs were introduced in 3.0.
As I understand the "ignore" button, click it and proceed as normal. If that doesn't work, download the "Fast Computer" patch.
Comments and corrections welcome. I will now hunker down and stick my head back in the sand and return my borrowed "online" computer to its owner.
