Yes, that is my understanding. Make sure to back up EVERYthing (like in the article linke I sent you) not just the project. TMG imports UFT files directly (even OLD ROOTS II files are accepted, I guess) and without the need for GedCom. Everyone I know who has gone to TMG is very pleased with the program. And you can't beat the tech support!
If you still have everything on your old computer, I would highly suggest printing out a FULL family journal and perhaps even an Individual Lift by alphabetical order that gives the record numbers, etc. At least you would have hard copy that way.
