I bought TMG once to try it. The direct import from UFT to TMG is not as clean as advertised. It will not handle a date such as "say 1846" or "16 Jul say 1846." Similar problems occur with place names. I decided that to use TMG I would have to build the database the hard way. After reading the traffic on the TMG message board I gave away the software. If UFT is worth saving as professional grade software, perhaps a genealogical society will purchase the rights and maintain it.
