Hi, Chester: The problem I have is that I have a Gateway Solo330 notebook computer. It has a Win98SE operating system. I got this Solo, because with Ruthie's and others assistance, I was able to reconfigure my other Gateway Win98SE operating system to enable EXPANDED MEMORY. However, the fixes (removing the "noems" line and adding device=c:\windows\emm386.exe ram)line to config.sys)do not give me expanded memory in the Solo. There is a problem with EMM386 requiring a page frame which needs more upper memory than is available. I've searched the microsoft knowledge base and tried everything they suggest.

I do have the Roots3 book. I'll look at it, but I doubt at the time it was developed it anticipated what the engineers would do to operating systems in the future. However, if there is a line I can add somewhere, PLEASE let me know. Anne
