If the computer is capable of running windows, it will run Roots III with no problem, Bob. You don't have to do anything with memory management. Just set it up as per the instructions. It's really not a difficult thing to do. I ran Roots III on windows up until just a year ago or so. Some of our people STILL use ROOTS III (in the windows setting). AND ... yes, RUG of Portland, OR does have ROOTS III videos (sent to us from RUG of Arlington)as well as some purchased books and other items available.
