Are you talking about Microsoft backups or backups from within UFT.
If you are refering to UFT backups you need to restore the project(s) and the library files that were made at the same time. If you just did a project backup and not a full backup including libraries images etc., You may wish to do a full backup of the date you now have even though it is corrupted and then try to restore the project and see if the current library is still intact enough to help you.
If you did a microsoft backup you need to restore any folder with the project(s) and also the library folder, (and the image folder if you have images) in order to keep the program in sync.
