Evidence problem after restoring backup
Posted by: Marie Date: March 09, 2001 at 12:37:31

I had a nasty computer crash recently. So, I downloaded my GEDCOM info from the internet but I found that ALL of my evidence, notes, and many place names are now missing or messed up. THEN I noticed a seperate file named "evidence" (I think a GEDCOM, anyway I made it a .PRO file) which seems to contain all of my place names, evidence, etc. I don't know how this happened, exactly, but does anyone know how I could get the evidence file re-wedded with my other file?

I also restored another backup I'd saved to disk; could this spare evidence file have come from that? If so, can I still "merge" it with my more complete file pulled off the internet?
