Hi Bob and Ruth,
Thank you, but I think I botched explaining what I'm trying to do. I have a database of research that the local Gen.Society has been working on--The Irons family. It consists of descendants of a Matthew Irons, but it also has as yet unconnected Irons individuals and groups. I am trying to print up a work document to show what progress has been made in the research showing connected and unconnected Irons. I grouped out all the known descendants of Matthew and sent it to the word processor via the Family Journal Report. Then I went through and found all those groups as yet unconnected to Matthew who had the Irons name and descendants under them and sent them to the word processor. Now, I'm trying to send the stragglers. Those who are in the database individually, either with a spouse or not, but no parents and no children. They have the Irons name, but nothing more than that connects them to the project. That's where I'm getting the problem. I want to send these folks via the family journal report to the word processor so the same type and format of information is given for them as for those who have descendants or ancestors, but the family journal report tells me that they have no descendants (which I already know). Since they don't have parents either, I can't back up and include them in any other line.
Hope this makes better sense. Thanks for any assistance.
