"Buy FTM - Buy CDs'

Dear All:

Go to where you may find some answers about genealogy software promotion. Why IT is FTM and not UFT. "Buy FTM - Buy CDs" is the clue on that page. The software seems like a 'lost-leader' when you see the money to be made from the sale of Family Archive CDs. The complete set of 224 is only $4,796.00 and is "For serious researchers, professional and libraries."

Can UFT match that offer? To my knowledge it can not and I assume it will never be able to. If you were the salesperson, which software would you promote and hopefully lock the buyer into a never ending stream of CDs?

I think we, UFTers, are fighting a loosing battle and our prayers, like our words, are falling on the deaf or deflecting ears of the salesperson.

It is a sad day for the faithful UTF users.

Best wishes to them,
