I believe the problem may be that you are using the sort date in UFT which in not exported in GEDCOM.

I transfered all of my UFT data to TMG using the TMG process known as Genbridge and it does transfer the sort date as well as any other dates that you have on file.

It also transferes much more data that GEDCOM coming close to 100% of the data in UFT.
