I've been successfully uploading web pages with UFT version 1a for quite a while (and, no, I don't need to spend the money upgrade to any newer version). But a couple days ago every time I try to create a web page (I have just made some revisions with new information) I will click on the Graphics button and all the fields in the dialog box are clear! All of the graphic selections have always previously been populated: the Header Bar, the Buttons, the email graphic, etc., all those have formerly always been selected in their spaces. But now, when I open the box none of them show and I have to select each and every one of them by using the Browse button, every time. And the email address has previously remained populated with my address but now it too is blank and I have to enter the address.
However when I go ahead and populate these fields and create the web page, I will then open the pages and none of the graphics I had selected show up, the centering doesn't get activated, and my email address doesn't appear. I could manually add all those things in html, but that's way too many pages to work with manually.
I don't know why it woould have suddenly changed. The only thing I could think that I have done differently was I have opened a GEDCOM file with the UFT program. But I can't believe that would have anything to do with the function of the program itself. But I create the web page in my normal data file, the same one I've always used to create and upload web pages.
I've successfully uploaded the good web page on October 10 or so, and now I'm getting these weird results. Do you think if I reinstall the program it will cause the defaults of having the graphics already selected in their fields filled in? The program did freeze up on me recently and I had to press the reset button of the computer, even ctr/alt/del wouldn't shut the machine down. And my file was open in UFT. Maybe this has corrupted a file or two or more in the program and I need to reinstall? If I do reinstall, I suppose I'll have to run the patch to have IE 5.5 recognized as my browser like I did for IE 5. I think it was the admin.exe file I had to run.
I am running Windows98 and have been for a long time, so that's not new.
Or do you think if I ran the fixme.bat it might take care of this recent silliness?
