Restore Back ups
Posted by: Sandra Paris Date: September 19, 2000 at 19:12:58

I haven't worked on my genealogy for sometime. I am trying to restore back ups to my laptop to find missing places from my desktop set. Every time I try to open a backup, it says "The Header is BAD".

I go to Open, backup, show my floppy drive, it shows the backup file name, then half way thru reinstalling the backup, it says Header BAD. Am I missing something?

I have gone thru 20 backups, so I must be doing something wrong. One thing that came to mind, is that the project name is not on the laptop. So it is trying to open a backup to a project with no name? So I tried to create a project with that name and it still didn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Sandy
