In an attempt to get some of the long time UFT users to lighten up a little bit, I almost forgot that you are a new user who may need some help in learning to navigate the program.
There is a little more information than Bob gave on the "x" problem in UFT program Help. Search for "Windows 95" in UFT Help. Also, be aware that the UFT Knowledge Base can be accessed from the top of this Forum page. There have been no announced plans to discontinue the UFT Knowledge Base, but a little "Copy and Paste" might be in order.
Be sure to download the "Free" UFT 3.1 upgrade.
The program supports the ANSI 1252 Code Page and can be used for English, French, German, and other Western European languages. It cannot be used for Hebrew/English. (Well, it can, -barely- but if you have any plans to do so, a different 32 bit Windows program will be preferable.) No Genealogy programs of which I am aware are capable of using Win 95/98 multi-language support (that is partial Unicode) properly.
There are many long time users who will answer your questions. Some of them actually do serious genealogy work and know the program backwards and forwards. Some of us just dabble on the message boards.
