The application should give the user the ability to insert an event or to use the mouse to move the events to allow a new event to be entered between the previous dates.

I'm sorry if I've gotten everyone in an uproar with my question.

Base it on my nearly 10 years experience as a programmer/systems/analyst and my 20 years experience prior to that in data entry. A good programmer does not code a data entry screen to resort the data entered in a different way than what the data entry person entered it. The programmer would code the ability to insert lines or to use the mouse to move the data.

And by putting in a date in the sort date that I'm "guessing"--that is "fake" data.

Once again, sorry if I have offended anyone.
