When you go to www.GenealogyLibrary.com we look for the cookie that tells us who you are. If we find it we check the subscription database to see if you have access. if you have access we automatically redirect you to the main page for subscribers (which is www.familytreemaker.com/_glc_/. If you don't have a cookie or you do have an online account but without an active GenealogyLibrary.com subscription, you will be automatically redircted to the deny page at http://www.familytreemaker.com/glc_deny.html.

It is the deny page that has a link at the top that says Already a Member? Log in Now. if you know the username/password associated with the online account that contains your active GenealogyLibrary.com account, you can enter it here to have the site add the cookie that will give you access. If you don't know your username/password, the log in screen has a link to have the username/password sent to you.

Once you have the cookie so we know who you are, you can change the username/password by going to www.familytreemaker.com/cgi-bin/setpass.cgi

There was a point in time when new GenealogyLibrary.com subscribers were automatically sent their username/password. There are two reasons we are not doing it now. First, it caused confusion. because access to the site is based on cookies, sending people their username/password, even if the email described why would do not use them under normal circumstances, confused people. Also, there was a time when the email was sent in the wrong circumstance.

I hope this helps.
