Wayne Grogan recently encountered a strange happening after importing the Mills evidence.ged file into his data base using version 3.1 of UFT. Several of the new source template names did not look the way he thought they should. Specifically the following template names appeared:
The problem has been investigated and shown to be the result of a bug which appeared first with version 3.0. It has been confirmed that the only problem is with the names of the templates; the templates themselves are as designed.
The fix (optional) is to edit the templates after import (menu Build - Templates - Source) and simply change the names according to the following:
Bookauthnotide! Change to Book, Auth Not Id E!
Bookauthunke! Change to Book, Auth Unk E!
Bookbyagencye! Change to Book, By Agency E!
Bookcomprecse! Change to Book, Comp. Recs E!
Booknumbrdrece! Change to Book, Numbrd Rec E!
Bookoneofserse! Change to Book, One Of Sers E!
Bookprivprinte! Change to Book, Priv Print E!
Bookpubdate?e! Change to Book, Pub Date? E!
Bookpubloc?e! Change to Book, Pub Loc? E!
Bookpubunke! Change to Book, Pub Unk E!
Bookrevisedede! Change to Book, Revised Ed.
Cd-rom(origrec)e! Change to Cd-rom (orig Rec) E!
To edit the name, double click on it in the "Existing Source Type" list and edit the name in the field just above the list. While the "change to" names above are the ones which UFT would have assigned if the bug were not present, there is nothing "sacred" about the names themselves. For example, I would have capitalized "CD-ROM" and "Orig" in the last item.
