childless couples ignored Md. 6-19

I'm new to this tree thing, but support service tells me the geneology standards discriminate against childless couples in their listing. In particular, I am married and without children. My brother is married and with three kids. We are listed as children of my parents in the third generation. But I am excluded in the fourth-generation listing. The same is true for all childless couples even though they are equally of the same generation as their brothers and sisters. Is there any way to add to the text or am I constrained by the "form?"
