I have been told privately that TMG, which some are touting as a possible replacement for UFT, does not have a built-in word-processor in which to make genealogical references, biographical text, etc.
Correct. On the other hand, it does communicate very effectively with
Word, WordPerfect, and about 50 other word processors. (This was the answer from Bob Velke)
I'm not sure how to add a question to the UFT-D on Roots Web so I copied the above to post it here so that my question is clear (I hope).
My question is - I have entered a lot of text in UFT in various events (in some cases pages of information). How will this transfer to TMG or will it? Will I have to copy the text I have entered from UFT to Word and then attach it to something in TMG. I have ordered TMG but it will be a while before I receive it and I guess I am getting anxious about the transfer.
