Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Julia, Which version are you using? I believe that in version 3.0 the option became available to add the footnotes to a FGS, as there had been problems in doing it before. Simply click the option "end of Report" under Footnotes (where it shows Grouping ... style ... other ... FOOTNOTES) when preparing a FGS. I just made one, sending it as an RTF to my word processor and it came up just fine. If you have other questions, feel free to ask.
