Ruth

About 25 years ago I was developing a computer system. One of the things I had to do was train the users.

While I was in one training session (we were using hands on training), I asked one user to enter "run" in order to get the program to execute.

She did not understand this southern boy as I was in Chicago, so I asked her to type "r", "u", "n", spelling the word out.

She promptly entered "are you in".

I guess computer technolagy has come a long way but there are still users out there that are just beginning.
