I found these notes a fascinating insight into the g.com mess (and it sounds like it still is a mess).

But a couple of things intrigue me - they're saying they won't give the source code away to anyone (i.e. it has value), but they will sell it to someone with the warning that they can't make money out of it (i.e. it has no value) - am I missing something here?

Also, they won't go the open source route to see if some old Foxpro-bitheads can salvage something from their spaghetti code (because that would cost them to much to support (huh?)), yet they're going to provide some level of technical support for at least a year with no revenues (and thats not going to cost them something?)

Now I'm more confused than they are...
