Hello Bill,
> I'm very impressed by TMG and by Bob Velke, who was available at any time to answer questions on the floor of the convention. I'm not sure I'm ready to do a full transition to TMG yet, although I think the program could do a good job of it. UFT works well for me right now and does what I need for the most part. In time that will change and then I'll re-evaluate. By then there may be other options to consider.
I bought TMG last year and it has a lot of power and some nice possibilities that I mis in UFT. The chart making program is better than UFT's and I told the developers of UFT it last year whyle testing UFT that they had a lot of work catching TMG on this one.
Now that I am forced to take a closer look at TMG I can tell you that on several issues UFT is still unbeatable. At first glance (I may overlook some things) I miss the editable mouse menu in TMG, I miss the Wizard, I miss the build individual list, ...
And most of all for us who speak foreign languages (other than English) TMG is not as flexible and transparent in managing the events and roles in other languages than English. I will wait the announced 4.0a version to comment on more 'problems' for the switch and maybe who knows will Bob meet us UFT customers closer in the 5.0 version to come.
Kind regards
Harry
