what you are proposing for the Tech Support area sounds appropriate and long overdue.
It may be a pet theory of mine, BUT I would have thought that issues raised on the message board which cause much comment OR which keep re-appearing would ring a bell with any Tech Support person, who would then see there was a need for an FAQ to be created.
Sadly, this sort of basic thinking has seemed lacking in the past.
I'm sure we all look forward to a brighter future
