I'd like to subscribe to your theories behind the death of UFT, but I'm reminded of the old line about - "Ïf its a choice between conspiracy theories or incompetence, choose incompetence every time" - and we all know G.c has plenty of the latter...
Practically I suspect it also had a lot to do with the conversion costs of getting out of Foxpro and moving to a real 32-bit program. The cost difference between TMG ($99) and UFT ($29 or less) is a lesson - personally I'd prefer a $99 progam that is supported to the $9.99-style G.c level of inaction.
