Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Pierce,

I know. If you haven't seen, I provide technical support on GenForum for Family Tree Maker as well.

When I do that, I change the the Name and E-Mail lines for my messages. GenForum keeps that information in a cookie. Sometimes when I switch from UFT to Family Tree Maker and back, I forget about those because they are filled in, and it isn't until I post my message I see that I've posted a message here with the Name and E-Mail address I use in the FTM message boards (and I do the same thing in FTM message boards after answering questions here).

So, I copy the text from the reply with the incorrect Name and E-Mail and create a new one after changing the Name and E-Mail. I paste my reply, post the new one, and then delete the original.

Sincerely,
Paul Burchfield, Genealogy.com Technical Support
