Dear Mr. Armstrong
It was with a deep sense of sadness when Iread your letter and then I resolved to switch to your competitor TMG.
My first genealogy program was UFT v2. and as I read the program's notes thru the shrink wrap in the store I was excited. It told me that it was the ëasiest and fastest software for completing your family history".
That was wrong as all of us know UFT has a very steep learning curve and if I added up my down time with its bugs and quirks and the UFT web page it sure isn't the fastest. It however had a way of producing the best looking web pages that always made you feel proud when you received email praising your work.
Most of all UFT was all the guys and gals on the board who so love their hobby and UFT that I felt I had a second home at times on the board.(Most times I listened but did not talk). It has been particularly painful to have watched the past year as most of our hopes for UFT have been dashed by (in my opinion) incompetent management. In my case loss was also felt in the stock.
Bubba, I'm gonna miss you Buddy - you were like that bloody English Bull dog that wouldn't let go.
Regards
Bill Burgess
