Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

That should not be a problem. Sounds like you have several projects. If so, you should back up each and back up the library once (all projects use the same library files). If you really want to be save you could make a copy of your current UFT directory and subdirectories on you hard drive under a different name (providing you have hard drive space). Apply the 2.8 patch to the original 2.1 program and you should be able to open your existing projects without even having to restore the back up (but always back up for safety sake.)
