The www.familysearch.org site has some new features - one of them lets you download the record to a gedcom format file. Knowing next to nothing about using gedcom files or what they are supposed to look like, I can't speak to the quality of them, so if you decide to try it, be careful - you know the drill, backup your project and all that, first. The file is downloaded with a .ged extension which I copied to .rtf so I could read it - guess that only works if you have MS Word though...I did also try .txt, but there were some characters that notepad didn't understand, so it was not easy to read it...
I know this is not a UFT-specific posting, but many of you work with gedcom files, so I thought I'd let you know.
