To me, the two features I like about 3.0 that were not even in the 2.x versions are the Global Search and Replace, and the ability to move the boxes in the box chart so that you can condense the number of pages it takes.

There are many other features in the 2.x series that were not in the 1.0 version, many you would not be interested in since you are not entering sources.

However, if you want to document you data you should be entering sources, even if the source is a relative who provided you with the information. I would think that you would be adding info to you database in the future from your own research you would want the advance editing features. Also there has been improvements in the indented descendant chart where not only birth and death dates are included, but marriage dates are included.

In any case, everyone has their own needs and desires so if you feel you don't want the advance features, so be it.
