UFT 2.8 - Scanned images & file naming.

I'm looking for some advice on saving scanned images.

1) In naming files what do you all recommend?
I've come up with the following convention:
A short abbreviation of what the image is (eg P for photo, NewsClip, BirthCert)
Followed by the date (YMD) (e if estimated - s for a broader estimation)
Then the person's name (father's if of a family group) or place.

2) In saving the files to directories how should I arrange the directory structure?
I've been thinking of using the family surname then each person's full name as a sub under that. I'm concerned with losing track of people using this convention, especially with the girls.

3) I haven't used the image ability of UFT as of yet. I'm concerned that once I point to an image how UFT keeps track of it. I currently have the images on my D drive but would like to move them onto a CD. I don't want to add images to find out later that UFT can't find them. Would I be able to tell UFT in one spot where to look for the images?

I also use UFT on my laptop and do not plan on having the images on my laptop. Would this cause a problem with UFT?

Thanks,
John Nielson
