Ewald, I sounds to me like one of the spouse roles have become non-principal. Both groom and bride need to be marked principal. I just tried this and I lost the marriage of the one I unchecked. One reason is that only events with principal roles show on the Ind screen. But I didn't expect to lose the spouse in the Spouse box.

I would be interested to know if you went to View -> List -> by Event Type. Found the Marriage event then looked at the "P" column, just before the "Role" column. Mine are all "T"'s for true? But I don't see any "F"'s for false. This is the only place I would say this may show the state of the principal box other than going to each marriage event.
