PART 2 Answers:
With the ORIGINAL ra update I got the box pointing to D:\UFT2_8 even though I have C:\UFT.
Same applied when I tried to install ua version. In BOTH these cases I was told "You DONT have 3.0" or what ever the message was back then.Same as others received.
With NEW 3.1 Update I did NOT get ANY BOX. Just the message I described about ".. Upgrade not done" or whatever.

Where are my UFT Copies?
C:\UFT shows as "Version 3.0"
D:\UFT2_8 shows as "Version 2.8"
D:\UFT3 (the clean copy upgraded to 3.1) shows as "Version 3.10 Patch"
