Michael,
The message you receive is not the one that we dealt with nor was anyone having a problem with (that was not overcome following the troublsehooting tips). Did you follow the troubleshooting page which has some tips on this message?
The message you are receiving typically occurs when you download and run the update designe for the retail version but you have the upgrade version installed or vice versa.
