Michael, It doesn't work in Melbourne either. So not only can we NOT blame "upside down electricty" but Queensland sun is also absolved <vbg>. Paul, I use an AMD 586/133 with 64MB RAM, a 6.8 and a 13 Gig Hard Drive with Win 98SE. I have UFT 2.8 loaded in E:\ROOTS5\ which is also where my data resides (it was updated from Roots 5 to UFT 2.8) and my full retail purchase of UFT 3.0 is loaded in D:\UFT\. I have checked the registry and it does point to the D:\UFT\ directory. When I try and run the update it says the dreaded "The version of UFT identified is not 3.0" but when I click OK is it actually looking at the D:\UFT\ directory where UFT 3.0 is located, selecting the uftree.exe file does not work. Perhaps you can tell us what the installer is actually looking for ? ie what does it think is the identifier for UFT 3.0 ? Hope this adds to the knowledge and helps in resolving the problem. Graeme Simpson Melbourne Australia What !! You don't have a break for Easter, better not tell you we have a 5 day break down under this year because of Anzac day falling on the Tuesday after Easter.
