Jack:
I don't enter the Alias1 for all married females. I only use it for females who have been previously married. For example you have Mary Smith, maiden name and what I enter in the Individual record, married first Tom Jones. She married second Robert Ford in my line. I enter Mary Jones in the Alias1. Now, with Alias1 checked to print, my report will say Robert Ford married Mary Jones (which is what appears in the marriage record). She was the daughter of Samuel Smith and Jane Doe. She married first Tom Jones. (I modify the marriage role sentence to put the "first" in.)
I see no need to enter the Alias1 for all females who were married only once.
