After all the quite critical comments of the last few days, I would like to state that I am a happy and more than satisfied user of UFT 2.9. Because of the first messages on the UFT 3.0 version, I never went ahead and upgraded. Although that does not mean that I would not like additional features in a newer version and a more up to date program language. The urgency for an program update (except a bug fix of UFT 3.0) however in my opinion should not be exaggerated. Imagine you are the owner of a genealogy program which releases every half year a new release! I read that nearly everybody on this board, as well as on sites were comparative evaluations are made of genealogy programs, are ranking UFT as the best program around followed by TMG. This means in my opinion that this program has a future. Even if Genealogy.com can or does not want to support the UFT development, it seems to me that the UFT program code represents a high financial value which can be sold to other companies who may take up further development. Based upon the current advanced features of this program, second to none, and being still one of the leading genealogy software programs around, I am optimistic on the future of UFT (or whatever it may be called). Regards, Ewald
