Hi Beth,
I can repeat this problem, but I do have a work-around for you. When you choose "Plus Descendants", "Plus Ancestors" or "All" rather than "Selected", the report includes a separate FGS report for each individual in the project.Since you probably don't want a separate FGS report for those individuals who aren't married and/or don't have children anyway (those with sex unknown would be included in that group), you can use the Grouping option to omit those people.
Go to the Help menu in UFT and choose Help Topics.Click on Frequently Asked Questions and then scroll down to item 23 --"How do I print multiple family group sheets for only people who are married or have children?"
That should get you the results you want. The children will still appear in the FGS for the parents, but they won't have their own separate sheet.
